Annual Training

Annual Training is open until June 30, 2014. This mandatory compliance training can be accessed through your Health Stream account via the Intranet. You will see the assigned courses under the "My Learning" tab. For details about managing extenuating circumstances, such as leave of absence, see the Annual Training Policy: HRM 119.

Weight Watchers at Work

As part of the Step Up To Good Health Wellness Program, UMMC continues to offer Weight Watchers at Work.  Engage in fun activities; learn about the proven Weight Watchers approach, the new Check monthly pass and how you can attend At Work meetings.
Weight Watchers offers the new Simple Start program, two weeks of meals designed to get you off to a fantastic start. You will learn what to eat to be satisfied and start losing weight.

The program is available by purchasing a monthly pass for $39.95 per month.&n The monthly pass system allows members to attend meetings at work at UMMC or near their home.  You do not need to wait for a session to begin; you can join at any time. All Weight Watchers at Work meetings are scheduled in the lower level of the Paca Pratt building at 110 South Paca Street from 1 - 1:30 pm on Wednesdays.  Weigh in begins at 12:45 pm prior to the meeting.

MTA Information

The April 2014 MTA passes are available. Passes can be picked up from the Parking Office located in the Gudelsky Lobby, two doors down from the Great Cookie. The Parking Office hours of operation are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 am and 4:30 pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office at ext. 410-328-0055 or via email at parking@umm.edu.

Camden Yards Parkers

Please note that there are evening games on April 11, 14 & 15. The games are set to start at 7:05 pm and all vehicles must be removed no later than 5:30 pm. A day game is scheduled for April 16 at 12:35 pm; all parkers will be relocated.  For more information on restrictions during baseball season, please refer to the Parking page on the UMMC Intranet or email parking@umm.edu. If you are interested in switching to alternate parking facility, please stop by the Parking and Transportation office in room G1J42 to find out what is available.

Maryland Half Marathon & 5K

Excitement is building for this year's Maryland Half Marathon & 5K Run. Join us on Saturday, May 10th at the Maple Lawn Community in Howard County as we run with a purpose in the fight against cancer. To register, go to www.mdhalfmarathon.com.

Charity Golf Tournament

The University of Maryland, Baltimore will host its 29th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Oakmont Green Golf Course in Hampstead, MD on Thursday, May 22. This year’s tournament will raise money for the School of Medicine Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science.  Entry fee includes the following: green fees, golf cart, continental breakfast and coffee, range balls, hole contests, lunch, beverages. Baltimore Running Festival
